Archer Hadley

Remarkable College Student, Sports Enthusiast, Eagle Scout, Founder of Archer's Challenge

Archer is a college student from Austin, Texas and is the founder of Archer’s Challenge. At birth, Archer weighed two pounds and spent nearly four months in the Intensive Care Unit. At eight months an MRI revealed partial brain death and he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. He has undergone speech, occupational and physical therapy as well as multiple surgeries and alternative health modalities. Despite all of this, his days are spent using a power wheelchair.

What makes Archer special is his ability to see life as an adventure. Every day present new challenges to him, but he embraces each one with a smile, believing he is afforded opportunities in life that able bodied people are not. He is secure and enjoys being who he is.

Archer connects with people whether one-on-one, or from a podium to a full audience. He speaks from the heart and with conviction as he motivates people to work, play, and try harder and to accept others for who they are.

Archer is an avid sports fan. He enjoys coaching and motivating athletes. He takes part in Fellowship of Christian Athletes at school. He is a bi-skier and is a Life Scout (Eagle Scout Project underway!). He is a leader in his church’s Special Needs ministry.

Archer has addressed the Michigan State Football Team, the O’Connor High School Football Team in San Antonio, Boy Scouts of America, The University of Texas’ Texas Wranglers and Darlins, Easter Seals, UT’s FCA, and was Co-Emcee for The Challenge Aspen Annual Fundraising Gala where the crowd gave him a standing ovation.

Archer thoroughly enjoys encouraging, motivating, praising and challenging others. His love of life is infectious. He hopes to use his talents to benefit others.
